Card no. 65 - Wedding bells are ringing ...

My mom, being the business woman she is, she sold one of my cards before it was even made - the request - a Wedding Congratulations - in Slovak... so this is officially my first SOLD card ... yipeeee!!!! I am SO excited!

Trying to figure out what to make I came across this gorgeous Basic Gray paper and I thought "This is it!" All I needed was my couple and simple embelishments. I was looking for a gorgeous Monarch butterfly everywhere, but I couldn't find "the perfect" one, so when I finally found a silhouette of this beauty bellow I had to have him. I created SVG file and had him cut with my Cricut - turned out fabulous! Don't you think?
I Stickled him pretty good and added few pearls. Yummy!

Card no. 64 - Happy Birthday Bryn!

Another birthday party under our belt. My friend's sweet little girl was turning 8 ... oh, my where does the time go?!

I managed to skip Mom's Night Out on Friday and created this card. I have few more to make! Ajajaj ... I think I need few more hours in my day (everyday) - they should invent 32 hour days - that would be fabulous. Maybe I would get things done ... eh, when I think about it ... maybe not! Ha!
There are always dishes, laundry, things lying around ... no matter how early or late I go to bed or wake up ... so, never mind ...

I came across a very interesting article were they try to describe what means being a mom:
"In list form. When you have young kids, your typical day is: constant attention, from getting them out of bed, fed, clean, dressed; to keeping them out of harm's way; to answering their coos, cries, questions; to having two arms and carrying one kid, one set of car keys, and supplies for even the quickest trips, including the latest-to-be-declared-essential piece of molded plastic gear; to keeping them from unshelving books at the library; to enforcing rest times; to staying one step ahead of them lest they get too hungry, tired or bored, any one of which produces the kind of checkout-line screaming that gets the checkout line shaking its head.

It's needing 45 minutes to do what takes others 15.

It's constant vigilance, constant touch, constant use of your voice, constant relegation of your needs to the second tier.

It's constant scrutiny and second-guessing from family and friends, well-meaning and otherwise. It's resisting constant temptation to seek short-term relief at everyone's long-term expense.

It's doing all this while concurrently teaching virtually everything -- language, manners, safety, resourcefulness, discipline, curiosity, creativity. Empathy. Everything."

I thought she described it perfectly!

Anywhoo, for some reason I could not manage to take a good picture of this card. The light was just off and I tried to fix it with Photoshop but I couldn't without washing out the beautiful green color, so sorry for the poor quality.
I used a lot of Stickles, a lot of dew drops and little time :) - that's my "signature" move ... he he he

Card no. 63 - Happy Birthday Avery

Another birthday party this weekend - summer is the perfect time for babies ;o) Anyways, we went to gymnastics party that was totally awesome and Lana looooved it! The pizza was good, even Hannah had her first taste - although watermelon was her favorite that day!

I didn't have much time to do this card, so I just scrambled whatever I could Saturday morning - right before the party. Turn out OK, nothing too exciting. Easy layout and even easier embelisments.

I am still experimenting with Black Ink - I think this one was StazOn - as you can see on the detail - I had a little issue with smudging. Oh, well ...

Card no. 62 - Happy 3rd Birthday Ayden

My friend's sweet little boy turned 3 last week. We, of course, celebrated in style this past Sunday. I ate A LOT of cake, M&Ms and all the candy within reach.
Today I spent 2 hours in the gym ... teee hee

Well worth it!

Anyways, this card is simple & it didn't take much time at all. No. 1 priority in my house lately. Don't have much time to do anything, so everything seems to be rushed, but I think it turned out pretty cute - although, the coloring could be so much better. Practice, practice, practice .... oh, boy! I am tired just thinking too much :)

I used different colors Stickles, didn't stick to my usual Star Dust comfort zone, and I like it - so much more vibrant - yummy!
I need to work a little more on my details, but overall a cute little simple card.

Card no. 61 - Wishing you a magical day

Here we go.... this card not only took me a whole day to make, but also part of the evening - reason ... Baby no. 2 :) My sweet Hannah! She is a ball full of energy and laughter.

Using Bev's faaabulous tutorial on how to use Spellbinders Nesties made the first-time use absolutely astonishing! I am in lve!

This card is for my hubby's buddy - funny thing is that my hubby thinks it's little too girly. Naaaah! Right?
To me the great thing about this image is that Aladin looks kinda like my hubby -- teee heee ....

Also I wanted to share "What I want for Christmas" idea. Fabulous Theresa Collins has designed with a help of a "company" something called THE STAMPMAKER ... you know where I am going with this ... right? Well, the best part ... it retails for "only" $169! Pretty doable, I think! You can read all about it on her blog. I am trying to come up with some kind of holiday/celebration for gift-giving, but I think no chance - so I am just going to wait for Christmas - can hardly wait! :)

Anyhoo, here is the card! Inside was pretty plain, so I just took the picture of

I embossed the flowers using the Spellbinders' Embossing mat and MS Embossing Tool. Oh, my goodness it was soooo easy to do. Way easier than on the hard surface.

Delicous Candy by Amy from A Thousand Sheets of Paper

This is what a 1000 sheets of cut paper looks like.

Amy Young is celebrating a very different type of milestone, not only is she celebrating her 1st blogaversary, (I know, looks like she has been making her gorgeous creations for years) she has been keeping track of how long it would take her to cut 1000 sheets of pattern paper from her cards and it only took a couple weeks over her anniversary. Woohoo, HAPPY 1st Blogaversary and a very happy 1000 sheets of paper Amy.

Perhaps she is just a bit crazy to send all of this to one person, so she is breaking it apart into five candies of 200 sheets each and there's more, so run on over and check out all the amazing goodies she is giving away and leave her some loving here!!!!!!!!!!!

Trying to get my MOJO back ...

Hey ya'll. How is your summer going?
My mom has left last Tuesday after 6 weeks of helping me and I am finally somehow back on track. We've been doing a lot of fun stuff, so I barely got to do any crafting. Pretty much none. But I am coming back as of today ...Yipeee!!! Well, almost ... my "big" girl is starting Kindergarten next Monday, so I have some major preparations underway ...but after that ... I am all ready :)
Yesterday I did this door tag for her and she was just over the moon. Pretty cute, but super easy - not much work went into it ... starting slowly ... teee heee

Well, can't wait to see what's going on in the Blogging World!
