Card no. 114 - Happy Birthday my Beautiful Friend!

Happy Thursday Everyone!
I have a suuuper busy week - but I love being busy ... so (((Yay!))) for me.

I have managed to squeeze in a bit of crafty time and made this little cutie for Lana's sweet little friend.

The image is by Tickled Pink Stamps - the sweet Lil' Pinkette Coraline.
She is colored with Copics & ProMarkers.
I also added Stickles (Stardust, Diamond) to the image.

The Front View

The papers I used are pretty old (I had them FORever) and I have no idea where I've got them or who they are made by. The cardstock is from Michael's - Bazzill Basics I have used a ribbon from JoAnn, a bunch of beautiful flowers by Wild Orchid Crafts, Kaiserkraft rhinestones.
I made a little pin using beads. Super easy-peasy!

The Image Detail (sorry, a little blurry)

The inside is very plain & easy - I was in a hurry to make this card and I think I made it in about an hour, which is few days less than usually.
I taped Coraline and inked just the cake and used is as a little complimentary stamp on the inside.

The Inside View

The words used are from one of those "Wordsy" sets from Hobby Lobby.

That's it from me for today!
Hope you're all are having a fabulous week!

I am entering these challenges:

Card no. 111 - (Almost) Every Girl wants to be a Princess

Oh, my Gosh! Is it Saturday already? Well, I've been trying to keep busy this week and boy oh, boy! It was AWESOME!!!
I designed a daily schedule with meal planner (to save and reduce any and all waste) and chores (so it gets DONE) and it's so much easier for me to be focused .... organization! I love it!
I have got soooo much done - GOOD WEEK!

Times are tough, but we will get through it - with a help of family & friends (& crafting).

Anyways, my super sweet mother-in-law, Heather, who runs a very important Charity - Robert Urich Foundation for Cancer Research, has asked me to make few cards (to donate for an auction) for our upcoming Benefit - Californians for a Cure - hosted at the Music Box Hollywood on November 6.
I struggled what kinds of cards to make and as I always adored the simpler designs, I went with it.

This is first card of many (more to come - that I still need to make). I will be busy in the upcoming few weeks, and also will try to make few certificates for personalized stationery.
So keep up with me...

The Front View

I used the goooorgeous Whiff of Joy image from the newest collection, colored with Copics, ProMarkers and Stickles (StarDust). Papers are S.E.I. (Chick-A-Dee) and Making Memories (Butterfly Flower Patch). Ribbon is by Martha Stewart. Pearls from my stash and brad by Whiff of Joy. The lacy paper Heart doily is from  Little Yellow Bicycle.
I sewn the edges on my sewing machine and the inside looks (almost) the same as the outside.

The Detail

I used Mariska's 3D Technique to make the beautiful Princess to pop-out and give the card a little dimension. So, I guess not that simple after all ....

And, to spread the word, I am entering these challenges:
Whiff of Joy Challenges - Jane's Sketch
Alphabet Challenges - Q for Quick and Simple
Anything Goes Challenges - Anything goes
Stamping for the Weekend - What a Cutie
Addicted to Stamps - Stitching
Sir Stampalot Challenge - Frame it up

Well, that's it from me ...
Have a fantastic weekend!

Hello everyone ... I am still packing and sorting and squeezing in some crafty time. Only 2 weeks left - yikes!!!

Today was my turn to host an Inky Impressions Challenge and it was so much fun to create this sketch:

All Inkettes did a faaaabulous job using it. Pop on over and enter your card. You don't need to have an Inky image, although it would be wonderful. The challenge runs for two weeks.

Here is my take on the sketch:

I am entering this card into these challenges:

Card no. 99 - Inky Challenge

Hello there!  It's Wednesday and we have a brand new Challenge for you on the Inky Impressions Challenge Blog - this week it's Flowers. Make sure to enter!

I have used these gorgeous papers by American Crafts (I've been using them a lot lately) and (of course) the super-duper cute Lili's Present stamp.  I colored her with Copics & ProMarkers (with few ShinHans), I added a lot of Sticles & even Glimmer Mist. I did a little 3D layering using foam squares.
I made a banner with my Spellbinders (Nested Pennants & Nested Lacy Pennants) and tied them together with Pink Paisley's Twine - absolutely delish! BTW. The lace is from JoAnn's (they keep it in ribbon-by-the-yard section). Flowers are Prima, the branch is punched out with Martha Stewart punch.

The Front View

I've got my inspiration from the fabulous layout at Sunday Sketch & Stamp Blog - Challenge # 51, City Crafter is celebrating their birthday & what a better challenge than Happy Birthday Cards, Pear Tree Designs is challenging us to use Lace. Yum! BTW - wonderful Mina from PinkPuds has made a card using all these challenges on her blog. I like to "cruze" around the Blogland to search for new challenge blogs - and a lot of ladies use different challenges.
I also added the April Cute & Girly Challenge over at By the Cute and Girly.

The 3D Detail

Enjoy!

Oh, my next card will be my #100, so I think I have to put together some yummy candy.... hmmmmm ....

Card no. 85 - Just Magnolia - Add a little Sparkle

December is a busy month for me, not only because of the Christmas, but all the Birthdays - soooo, I have yet another birthday card to share with y'all. This time it's for the sweetest 7 year old girly girl - Sophia.

I used a super simple layout from Everybody Art Challenge's Sketch # 120 and gave my sewing machine a spin :) I used up all my thread - so the inside has only partial sewing. Still, I like it. Also, this card is quite heavy (used all the good stuff :), but I think still has that delicate girly feel to it.

I also used Just Magnolia's challenge for a sparkly inspiration - Anything goes + Sparkle - and I tell you, I used A LOT of sparkle, all over the card - inside and out.
Of, course, I used my ProMarkers, so I am also entering this card into their MEGA Christmas Challenge - Anything goes - nice and easy ... LOL.

Card no. 73 - Happy Birthday and fun "girly" project

Today I made my first attempt for an Easel Card - easier than I thought and what a fun to make it too!

My older daughter's little friend had a birthday party, so I thought what a perfect opportunity to make a card with one of the fabulous Whiff of Joy images since for the next two months I am the Guest Designer ... yeah, I am braggin' :)

Also, I found a fabulous tutorial how to make hairbows and I really wanted to give it a try. Here is what I came up with:

The Card

The Image Detail
I used the same Designer paper and cut out a little circle and attached to the page pebbles. The look is fantastic. I will most definitely be using those again (and again).

The fun Pebbles Detail

I decorated the package with the same "Medieval" theme. I didn't have the same cardstock paper, so I used similar color, different texture.

The Package
And here are ...

The Hairbows
They were really fun to make. And OH-SO-EASY!!! Next time I need to buy a little longer fancy ribbon - I think they could be a little "thicker" or add third color. I surely will be making more.

The Detail

Cardstock: Bazzill Basics, unknown Designer papers from my friend Melodie
Stamps: Whiff of Joy - Charlotte the Queen & the Castle from the Medieval Collection colored with ProMarkers, ShinHan Markers & Ciao Copics; round Happy Birthday from Inkadinkado; Alaina's name spelled with the Alphabet Stamps from Scrappy Cat stamps; Sweet Birthday wishes stamp from Inkadinkado
Embelishments: Page Pebbles by Making Memories, Rhinestones by KaiserKraft, Ribbon from Michaels & JoAnn's, Stickles, Glimmer Mist, Heart button from JoAnn's
Tools: Spellbinders' Nestabilities - Lables no. Six & Classic Scalloped Circle, MS Loop Edge Punch, Paper Trimmer, MS Scoring Board

ENJOY!
