Card no. 88 - Sweet & Simple

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!
Hope this one will be as good as 2010 or better.

I decided this year, that I will not make any resolutions - I pick a word - a word that should mean something - and live up to that word.
My word for 2011 is "Appreciation".
I even started a "little" diary where I will write (ideally) every day what I appreciate about that day, who & why.

We went to see Cirque du Soleil today and it was FANTASTIC!!! WowZies! Absolutely fantastic. If you've never gone and are thinking about it, it's worth seeing! The acrobats are truly stunning.

Today's card was made yesterday, but I haven't had a chance to upload it, until now. It's very simple and I thank the wonderful Alice from Alice's {Little} Wonderland for the brilliant idea. She is super talented and I juuuust love how beautiful and simple her cards are. Her blog is one of few I visit pretty much daily.

I used one of my "never inked" stamps - the beautiful Suzette by Kraftin Kimmie - and colored her with ProMarkers & Copics and sparkled her up with some Punch Stickles & Copic's Spica Glitter Pens. What a fun Stamp!

The Image Detail

These beautiful rose flowers are by Prima and the middle one is from Magnolia-licious received as a gift. Thank you, they are truly beautiful!

The Flower Detail
The paper is plain Kraft paper from Jo-Ann's and I think DCWV (not sure about the collection, though). I sprayed the finished card with Tattered Angels' Glimmer Mist in Gold. Yummy!

The card is for my sister-in-law's 30th Birthday (as you can tell). Happy Birthday Em!

Card no. 76 - Happy Birthday, my sweet friend!

My SUPER wonderful friend, Ralna, had her birthday this past Tuesday - and I had fabulous lunch with her and two more girls - Heather & Leslie. The food was yummy and the time we spent together priceless...

I set up a little party table with handmade pom poms, tissue paper flowers and my wedding china ... tee heee ....

The Table Setting

The card I made for her was with Kraftin Kimmies gorgeous Monique that I've got from my friend Melanie - thanks Mel!!!

I used my new American Crafts papers that I've got at our local Scrapbooking Outlet - that I've found by accident last week :) Yipeee!!! 49¢ per page - What a deal! I used A LOT of Stickles and few diamonds .... voilà ...
