Card no. 92 - Still feeling the L♡VE (... and will for a while)

He he ... this one is one of the "projects" I mentioned previously. Was working on it, but didn't finish until few days ago. It's for my husband's sweet Aunt Judy & Uncle Tom - truly the sweetest people on Earth!

I used my FAVORITE papers of all time (so far) - Making Memories - Je t'adore collection. Soooo gorgeous! I also used my "new" Tim Holtz's Rosette die - aaaaah, simply the best time-saver EVER! (Can you tell I am excited? LoL)
Also, the image is super sweet Tilda from the new So Special Collection. Such joy to color her (with my ProMarkers & Copics). As embellishments I used Rosy Ribbon by American Craft, Pearls from Michaels (Recollections? - I think) & Doily heart from JoAnn. I used Spellbinder's Labels no. Ten, Martha Stewart's new Cherish Hearts Border Punch.

The idea of this "book"card came from fabulous Tina's Blog (as Tina46) ... Her blog is so inspirational and absolutely fantastic!

Have you had a love-filled day?

It started beautifully (as every year of my married life). My husband is a huuuge romantic (and that's one of many things I LVE about him). He surprised me with roses in our kitchen. I didn't expect them until the evening *wink* *wink*

I made our breakfast ...
... and both Lana & ...
... Hannah devoured the yummy heart-shaped pancakes with boysenberry syrup and whipped cream. Talk about sweet tooth, eh?

I wanted to include a project I made for my sweet friend last week and didn't manage to upload. This is the packaging. I used the lovely Tilda from the Fairytale Collection, colored with ProMarkers, ShinHanMarkers & Copics. I added some Stickles. The gorgeous papers are from Scenic Route - had them for ages and was sad to use them, but I just LOOOOOVE how it turned out. I think the flower is from 7kidscollegeFund.com I also used Martha Stewart's Branch Punch and EK Success new Lacy Border punch (name???).

... and voilà...

The stamp in the back is Inkadinkado - Round Frames. I stamped it with red MS pad and embossed it with clear powder. Added few ribbons. Easy-peasy.

And this is what was inside ...
I made her a camera strap slip cover (exactly the same as mine). It was suuuuuper easy. I followed the steps from this website. Literally it took me 30 minutes to make. I added a felt flower and it was done. The fabric is from Jo-Ann.

Hope you had such a fabulous day as I did.

Happy ♥ Day!

Oh, my!!! Sorry it took me so long to get back here, after the aaaawful storm and both kids destroying the house, I needed to catch up on housework, laundry and all the little things we moms do to keep the house nice and neat :)

But I am back! LoL! Valentine's Day is approaching and a lot of people feel "iffy" about it, but I lve it! It is commercial holiday, but so many people don't express their love verbally and this is the perfect day to do so. And who doesn't love pressies (especially the chocolate ones .....).

I like pink & red, so I seized my moment to decorate with these two bright colors. I made a lovely garland spelling "Happy Day". I will update the close-up pictures as soon as my camera charges, that poor thing died while shooting the pics today. I've been using her daily - working on my Project Life by Becky Higgings. What an excellent idea. I've been loving it!!!

ENJOY!!!

No Stamps used. Papers are from last year's (or maybe even older) Valentine's DCWV's collection. Hearts are cut using Spellbinders. Little middle border is by Martha Stewart's Tiny hearts scalloped edge (yep, I just made that name up). Pink crepe paper, pink ribbons and sparkly yarn. Nothing too difficult of too fancy - although, I think it looks pretty fancy ;)
I've got those cute golden angels at Michaels. I might be coming back for more. They are just so darn cute! I cut out the letters with my Cricut and Lyrical Letters cartridge, sparkled them up with Zing Embossing Powder - sparkling red, few Prima roses.

That's it!

Have a fabulous day!

Card no. 89 - Just Magnolia + Color Create + Few more Challenges

Happy Saturday Everyone!!! Another Birthday party behind us - LOL! I love 'em! It's fabulous to see friends and kids having the best time.

Apparently, a major winter storm is heading our way - we are in Atlanta area - so the stores are out of bread, milk and eggs - it tickles me because everything shuts down (stores, schools, even my dr. hubby doesn't go to work) when there is snow here in "the South". So I wonder what will happen in the next few days - a lot of people seem to be "freaking out". We haven't been living her for that long, so I can't picture this.

Anywhoo, today's card was made for sweet now 5 year old Kara. Her Gymnastics Birthday Party was sooooo much fun! And since she is THE ULTIMATE girly girl - what else to use than pink, white & red (from the Color Create Challenge) with hearts and sparkle. I used this week's Friday Sketcher's Sketch + Just Magnolia's Challenge (Anything Goes), teamed up with Simon Says Stamp Challenge - New Beginnings - I think new year as a 5 year old counts - right? - and Cute Card Thursday Challenge - Out with the Old - I used my last year's Valentine's Day papers along with my I-don't-even-know-how-old DCWV papers. The sweet Love Ladybug Tilda is colored with my ProMarkers, Copics Sketch & Ciao and spakled up with Stickles (Star Dust). The cute Heart Rhinestones are from Michaels and the gorgeous Heart Border is brand new punch from Martha Stewart - oh, yum! The lacy ribbon is by American Crafts - my new fave!
As you can see I still have to work on my coloring - the bleeding of my markers is just so hard to control. I am using Neenah Super Smooth paper, but I still have this happening - hmmmm .... need to work on the blending technique a little more. I also did a little bit of paper piercing. So fun! The Birthday stamp is by Inkadinkado and I just love it - I use it almost on all of my Birthday cards.

Q: Did you know you can use your 40% off coupon at Hobby Lobby to get your Copics? I just got mine ☺

Hope you're enjoying your weekend!
