Card no. 116 - A gift for Ms. Usher & a special Saturday for my sweet Hannah

Happy Sunday everyone!!!
My sweet Hannah turned 2 yesterday, so we had a fantastic Tea Party planned for her.
Everything went well - I even made my very first birthday cake! 5 layers, each different shade of pink ...  well, it did have a "loopsy" side ... but it tasted wonderful :)

I even made a birthday t-shirt using Silhouette - I was so happy with the results.
And here is my sweet birthday girl...

Well, I also made a special Christmas gift for Lana's teacher on Friday, because it was the last day of school before the Winter vacation. I made her Grapefruit Bath salts with vitamin E. It smelled so yummy...

Here is the whole package:

And here is the card:

Base Cardstock is Bazzill from Michael's, DPs are from Graphics 45 (the Magic of Oz Collection) and Making Memories (Paper Reverie - Sienne Floral).
The super cute image is from Whiff of Joy, colored with ProMarkers & Copics, and so is the sentiment. Flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and Recollections by Michael's. The rhinestones are from JoAnn.
The border punch is Martha Stewart and Spellbiners used are Labels no. 10 and Lacy Circles.

Easy, peasy, lemon squeezy ...

I am entering these challenges:
Dutch Dare Card Challenges - Tic Tac Toe (I chose: bling, stamped image & distressing)
Stampavie & More - Red
Totally Gorjuss - For Someone special (Ms. Usher is surely special!)

Enjoy your day!

Card no. 115 - Merry Christmas - Whiff of Joy Angel

Oh, such a busy busy week (and weekend). I have been working a lot, which is great, but I don't get much of my "mommy" playtime! I also have been moving furniture this weekend as I have decided to move my craft corner to my bedroom (my hubby wasn't thrilled), but both my girls would take and misplace "my" stuff and oh, they would snatch my markers and Hannah (will turn 2 this Saturday) would color the walls, etc. .... just not fun.  Anyways, I set up my workstation in the bedroom and when we have a huuuuge house (one day) I will have my own whole room just for crafting ....

OK. Enough blabling ....
Here is a first quarter of a order placed after our Fundraiser back on December 6th.  The order was 12 Christmas cards ... I have already sent them, but haven't had a chance to post them.

This is a Criss-cross card, using a gorgeous Whiff of Joy stamp from last year's Christmas collection, colored with Promarkers and Copics. I added Stickles and Spica Copics.
Flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. Cardstock is Bazzill from Michaels and DP is ... shoot! I can't think of the name right now ... sorry.
Rhinestones are from JoAnn, ribbon is Papertey Ink, border is punched with EK Success border punch. I aged the edges with Tim Holtz's Distress Inks (Old Paper, Tea Dye, Antique Linen).
The inside sentiment stamp is a Inkadinkado stamp from several years ago.

The View

I am entering these challenges:
Simon Says Stamp Challenge - Christmas Photo Inspiration
Cute Card Thursday - Anything goes
Christmas Cards All Year Round - Anything goes
Dutch Dare Card Challenges - Anything with wings

ENJOY!!!

Card no. 111 - (Almost) Every Girl wants to be a Princess

Oh, my Gosh! Is it Saturday already? Well, I've been trying to keep busy this week and boy oh, boy! It was AWESOME!!!
I designed a daily schedule with meal planner (to save and reduce any and all waste) and chores (so it gets DONE) and it's so much easier for me to be focused .... organization! I love it!
I have got soooo much done - GOOD WEEK!

Times are tough, but we will get through it - with a help of family & friends (& crafting).

Anyways, my super sweet mother-in-law, Heather, who runs a very important Charity - Robert Urich Foundation for Cancer Research, has asked me to make few cards (to donate for an auction) for our upcoming Benefit - Californians for a Cure - hosted at the Music Box Hollywood on November 6.
I struggled what kinds of cards to make and as I always adored the simpler designs, I went with it.

This is first card of many (more to come - that I still need to make). I will be busy in the upcoming few weeks, and also will try to make few certificates for personalized stationery.
So keep up with me...

The Front View

I used the goooorgeous Whiff of Joy image from the newest collection, colored with Copics, ProMarkers and Stickles (StarDust). Papers are S.E.I. (Chick-A-Dee) and Making Memories (Butterfly Flower Patch). Ribbon is by Martha Stewart. Pearls from my stash and brad by Whiff of Joy. The lacy paper Heart doily is from  Little Yellow Bicycle.
I sewn the edges on my sewing machine and the inside looks (almost) the same as the outside.

The Detail

I used Mariska's 3D Technique to make the beautiful Princess to pop-out and give the card a little dimension. So, I guess not that simple after all ....

And, to spread the word, I am entering these challenges:
Whiff of Joy Challenges - Jane's Sketch
Alphabet Challenges - Q for Quick and Simple
Anything Goes Challenges - Anything goes
Stamping for the Weekend - What a Cutie
Addicted to Stamps - Stitching
Sir Stampalot Challenge - Frame it up

Well, that's it from me ...
Have a fantastic weekend!
Hugs,

Happy Holidays - Whiff of Joy Christmas Video & Out-Takes Video

Hello ladies! Hope you're having a fabulous Holiday and are enjoying the Season.
I've been sooo soooooo busy - this is our first Christmas alone as a family - we would always visit or be visited by Grandma #1 or Grandma #2 - so we wouldn't do much cooking or cleaning or anything - well, this year is different - I HAD TO DO EVERYTHING! Ha! My hubby helped with the dishes and Turkey. BUT it was absolutely wonderful. Surprisingly, I was very relaxed, took my time to clean, cook and I even squeezed in few Wii games with the fam. Unfortunately, no cards (yet) ... sorry .... Well, I've got bunch of new copics + stand and reorganized my "craft" space - I am so excited to get started with those ....

I have something pretty good to share (if you haven't seen it yet):

The original Christmas Whiff of Joy video

and

some funny Out-takes.

Enjoy!

Ehm, yeah - I was pretty bad -- he he he ...

Everything can be also seen on Katharina's blog.

Have a fabulous day!!!!

Whiff of Joy Blog Hop - Card no. 86

Here comes Santa Claus,
Here comes Santa Claus,
Right down Santa Claus Lane,
Vixen and Blitzen and all his reindeer
Pullin' on the reins.
Bells are ringin', children singin',
All is merry and bright.
So hang your stockings and say your prayers,
'Cause Santa Claus comes tonight...

Well, maybe Santa is not coming tonight, but soon ... I feel like almost too soon.... I am nowhere being done with all the "needed" and "required" preparations!!!

BUT WAIT...
there IS something fabulous happening today!
Whiff of Joy Christmas Blog Hop

WELCOME!!!

Today I have a very special card(s) to share with y'all. I am a room mom for my daughter, who is in Kindergarten and we had a fabulous Winter Party yesterday ... all the kids had a lot of fun and oh!, all the goodies everyone brought were so yummy ... it was simply fabulous.
Anywhoo, I made these cards for my daughter's Kindergarten Teacher and her Teacher's Assistant. Both are absolutely wonderful and fantastic and I couldn't thank them enough.

I used Bazzill Basics CP (Witch's Hazel), My Mind's Eye DP (the Wonderful Winter Collection) and a beautiful paper doily sent to me all the way from Australia by THE super sweet Kylie. I chose super simple layout and "fancied it up" by Spellbinder's Labels No. 10. The gorgeous image is Angel Delivering the Christmas Tree colored with Copics, ProMarkers & ShinHan Markers. I sparkled the images with StarDust & XMas Red Stickles. I added three red rhinestones to the right corner and poinsettia flower to the opposite corner. I sewed an inside pocket for the gift card and added a sweet little label from the Season's Greetings (along with the die cut shape). The inside sentiment is printed on my printer using ITC Edwardian Script font.

ENJOY!!!

Card no. 83 - Yet another Birthday Card this month

Yes, yeeeesss ... another birthday card. Well, I just have so many friends ... tee heee ...
Anyways, this one is for a 5year old. Super sweet and all boy. I just love this cute Whiff of Joy image - absolutely the sweetest thing!
I am still having trouble with bleeding markers - I tried different papers, inks - I think it's time to switch the markers (I guess) - the red ones (that bleed the most) are the ShinHan markers, sooooo ... I guess I am switching to all Copics - I also use ProMarkers, but the tips are just too wide that sometimes I have hard time filling in those tiny lines - and with my hand eczema, I have hard time coloring as it is ... ha! Maybe I just need more practice.

I used Martha Stewart glitter that I had for few years and never used it - I "glittered up" Sammy's hat and the leaves that were die cut with the "new-ish" Whiff of Joy dies. Sooo pretty!

If you can believe that my time as GD is coming to end in couple of weeks - I am sad already.

I am entering the weekly Whiff of Joy Challenge, where Tara challenged us with her fantastic sketch and Secret Crafter Challenge #109 - Sparkle & Shine.

ENJOY!!! I hope you're having a fantastic week. I've been working a bunch, getting some "mule" for Christmas pressies ...LOL!

Card no. 80 - Joy!

Happy Thursday!!! It's been few days .... I am sorry, but I have A TON of stuff going on at the moment and on top of that my eczema (on my fingers) makes it so painful to do anything with my hands... yikes! Sorry TMI.

I just could not resist and had to share another gorgeous Whiff of Joy stamp - Angel delivering the Christmas Tree. I sparkled her wings and ribbon with Stickles. Delicious! I also used one of the new dies (Mistletoe) to add to my flowers - sooo pretty!

Anyways, I can't type very much, so this will be short and sweet - I sparkled the whole card with Glimmer Mist and made "homemade" buttons to match the papers.
I used the Whiff of Joy's Challenge Blog's theme (#91) - Christmas.

Card no. 78 - Whiff of Joy Sneak Peak!

Oh, my! What an insane week!!! Anyways, finally I squeezed in my much needed "free time". I've got the brand new stamps from Whiff of Joy, which will be released November 1st, and simply could not wait to ink them up. You are in for a treat everybody! These are GORGEOUS!

Somehow I had to redo this card few times and I still feel that it's not it. I just couldn't figure out what it was that was missing or too much.

Anyways, we had crazy busy day on Wednesday with my hubby being gone, Parent Education Night yesterday, Halloween Party tonight - and I just started making our costumes today - I know I am crazy ... tee heee ... but they turned out fabulous - could have done better job hemming them, but I just couldn't be bothered or had time. I finished all four 10 minutes before we had to leave - talk about perfect timing! He he ... Guess what we were ... the Incredibles! All four of us! I LVE IT!

As for my card - I used one the gorgeous new to be released Whiff of Joy Stamp and Snowflake Die - aren't they gorgeous? I am in love with this stamp - can be used on so many occasions and holidays. I also used A LOT of Stickles - on pretty much all the edges. Spellbinder's Label no. 5 was used to create the little window effect, here and there few more details and I was done - on the fifth try. LOL!

Hope you like it! Come back for more! I am making a new one as we speak, write, well, as soon as I am done typing ....
