Card no. 57 - Happy 5th Birthday (OCC Challenge & ProMarkers Challenge)

Oh, my goodness ... these past many weeks have been c.r.a.z.y.! My "little" girl turned 5 last Thursday and requested "super cute" card. I could not say no ☺So, even though my bathroom is still in boxes, my craft room is all set up and I am ready to go...

I started making my own flowers - my friend Melodie has given me a ton of inspiration - what do you think? Still need a ton of practice, uh?
Also, Melodie sent me these gorgeous papers, not sure who they are made by. I used the super cute image from SCACD (Susana's Custom Art and Card Design), colored with my wonderful ProMarkers (Cool Aqua, Sky Blue & Turquoise were the main colors) and ShinHan Markers.
I frosted the girlie's headband and booties with some Stickles. The ribbon is from Michaels as are the pearls. The dew drops are by Robin's Nest. Distressed edges are done by Faded Jeans (Distress Ink).

Easy peasy ...

The Sketch is from Our Creative Corner Challenge. I am also entering it into the ProMarkers Anniversary Challenge. Oh, my! Can't believe it's been a year for them! Congratulations!!!

What I love about this card are the bright and cheery colors & easy to "assemble" layout ☺
ENJOY!

We have moved (again and finally)!

Yaaaay!

The move was smooth and easy - now the hard part - unpacking - yuck!
I will be back as soon as I can, but as you can imagine it will be few days.

Hope everyone is having a fabulous week!

Card no. 56 - Whiff of Joy Challenge no. 74 - Take Two

So, this is my second card using the same sketch from WOJ Challenge no. 74. Surprisingly I had time to finish two! cards. Yipeee.....

Anyways, I will be packing my craft room soon - yes, we are moving! :) so I want to get as much craft action as I can.

I used the sweet & simple DCWV papers (Linen Closet) - base & DP, a lot of Stickles (Stardust & Diamond). I used Whiff of Joy image, but I am not so sure about the coloring. I wanted to try to paint my new Distress Ink and then when it didn't turn out so well I tried to "hide" my bad paint job with some glitter ... not such a good idea :) I have A LOT to learn!
I embellished the card with some pearls from Michael's, Ribbon from Wal-Mart and Flowers by Prima. I used my MS Branch punch, Fiskars Border Punch and Brads by Making Memories.
DONE.

Let me know what I can do differently .... or recommend a tutorial... that be fabulous!!!

Thanks for stopping by...

Card no. 55 - Whiff of Joy - Challenge no. 74

Can you believe that found spare time for some crafting in my crazy household? BTW - we are moving AGAIN. Oh, my!

Well, I simply had to! My new friend Melodie from Art from the Heart sent me these fabulous papers (and more) made by American Crafts (Moda Bella). I paired it with Bazzill Basics Paper (London Fog) and put some simple embelishments: cut out flowers from the paper & Robin's Nest Dew Drops. I used my Martha Stewart border punch to do the middle & inside borders.

I used the Whiff of Joy Challenge blog's current sketch and (of course!) WoJ image. I colored gorgeous Willow with ProMarkers & ShinHan Markers. I glittered up the finished card with Glimmer Mist. Yum! Nice and simple ...

We're moving

Finally both of my babies are feeling 100%, so I SHOULD have time to craft, but now we're moving, so there is NO time... one day, one day (soon, I hope) I will have back my mommy "crafty" time :)

I hope everyone had wonderful Easter and I'll keep you posted.

Hugs,
