Card no. 118 - Sketch Saturday #2

Hello again ...
Well, here is the second post. If you'd like to see the first card of the two
(and where we're going for Christmas).

I will be out of town until January 3rd, but I am bringing my computer, so if you'd like any cards to be made, please, feel free to e-mail me, but I won't be able to make any, until I return.
Thank you!

This card went to Susan. And it's the second of two.

The 3D Detail

I also used the lovely Sketch Saturday's Sketch #186 on this card. I also used the lovely Sketch Saturday's Sketch #186 on this card. Cardstock is Bazzill from Michael's and DP from Graphic's 45 Christmas Collection. I added JoAnn's Rhinestones, lacy ribbon, American crafts ribbon and Wild Orchid Craft flowers. The beautiful sentiment is from Whiff of Joy (I just masked off the Christmas Tree part). The Spellbinders used were Labels 18. The super cute angels are a Lili of the Valley image,  3D-ied and colored with Copics and ProMarkers. The 3D process on this one was a wee bit more complicated, but I am happy with the results. I also added Star Dust Stickles.

Card no. 117 - Sketch Saturday #1

I have two cards to show you today, but I separated them into two posts.
I am super duper busy today, because we're leaving to see our grama  Heather, who lives in Park City, Utah.
It will be a little climate shock for us, since the weather in Phoenix is lovely at 55 of, where PC has only 23 oF. Yikes!

Anyways, the couple of cards made yesterday were given to my two lovely co-workers/boss - Betsy & Susan. And to brag a little, they also have got a HUUUUGE Costco-sized Chocolate Box. Yum!

This one went to Betsy. And it's the first of two.

The 3D Detail

I used the lovely Sketch Saturday's Sketch #186 (on both of them). Cardstock is Bazzill from Michael's and DP from my stash. I added JoAnn's Rhinestones & lacy ribbon, and Wild Orchid Craft flowers. The beautiful sentiment is from Whiff of Joy and so is the die cut. The Spellbinders used were Labels 21 (I think). The super adorable angel is Lili of the Valley image,  3D-ied and colored with Copics and ProMarkers.
I added a bit of Stickles ... and voila ...

Card no. 116 - A gift for Ms. Usher & a special Saturday for my sweet Hannah

Happy Sunday everyone!!!
My sweet Hannah turned 2 yesterday, so we had a fantastic Tea Party planned for her.
Everything went well - I even made my very first birthday cake! 5 layers, each different shade of pink ...  well, it did have a "loopsy" side ... but it tasted wonderful :)

I even made a birthday t-shirt using Silhouette - I was so happy with the results.
And here is my sweet birthday girl...

Well, I also made a special Christmas gift for Lana's teacher on Friday, because it was the last day of school before the Winter vacation. I made her Grapefruit Bath salts with vitamin E. It smelled so yummy...

Here is the whole package:

And here is the card:

Base Cardstock is Bazzill from Michael's, DPs are from Graphics 45 (the Magic of Oz Collection) and Making Memories (Paper Reverie - Sienne Floral).
The super cute image is from Whiff of Joy, colored with ProMarkers & Copics, and so is the sentiment. Flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and Recollections by Michael's. The rhinestones are from JoAnn.
The border punch is Martha Stewart and Spellbiners used are Labels no. 10 and Lacy Circles.

Easy, peasy, lemon squeezy ...

Card no. 115 - Merry Christmas - Whiff of Joy Angel

Oh, such a busy busy week (and weekend). I have been working a lot, which is great, but I don't get much of my "mommy" playtime! I also have been moving furniture this weekend as I have decided to move my craft corner to my bedroom (my hubby wasn't thrilled), but both my girls would take and misplace "my" stuff and oh, they would snatch my markers and Hannah (will turn 2 this Saturday) would color the walls, etc. .... just not fun.  Anyways, I set up my workstation in the bedroom and when we have a huuuuge house (one day) I will have my own whole room just for crafting ....

OK. Enough blabling ....
Here is a first quarter of a order placed after our Fundraiser back on December 6th.  The order was 12 Christmas cards ... I have already sent them, but haven't had a chance to post them.

This is a Criss-cross card, using a gorgeous Whiff of Joy stamp from last year's Christmas collection, colored with Promarkers and Copics. I added Stickles and Spica Copics.
Flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. Cardstock is Bazzill from Michaels and DP is ... shoot! I can't think of the name right now ... sorry.
Rhinestones are from JoAnn, ribbon is Papertey Ink, border is punched with EK Success border punch. I aged the edges with Tim Holtz's Distress Inks (Old Paper, Tea Dye, Antique Linen).
The inside sentiment stamp is a Inkadinkado stamp from several years ago.

Card no. 114 - Happy Birthday my Beautiful Friend!

Happy Thursday Everyone!
I have a suuuper busy week - but I love being busy ... so (((Yay!))) for me.

I have managed to squeeze in a bit of crafty time and made this little cutie for Lana's sweet little friend.

The image is by Tickled Pink Stamps - the sweet Lil' Pinkette Coraline.
She is colored with Copics & ProMarkers.
I also added Stickles (Stardust, Diamond) to the image.

The Front View

The papers I used are pretty old (I had them FORever) and I have no idea where I've got them or who they are made by. The cardstock is from Michael's - Bazzill Basics I have used a ribbon from JoAnn, a bunch of beautiful flowers by Wild Orchid Crafts, Kaiserkraft rhinestones.
I made a little pin using beads. Super easy-peasy!

The Image Detail (sorry, a little blurry)

The inside is very plain & easy - I was in a hurry to make this card and I think I made it in about an hour, which is few days less than usually.
I taped Coraline and inked just the cake and used is as a little complimentary stamp on the inside.

The Inside View

The words used are from one of those "Wordsy" sets from Hobby Lobby.

That's it from me for today!
Hope you're all are having a fabulous week!

Inspired ... using Silhouette

I have always loved the simple designs and I just adore Papertey Ink.  So, when they came out with the fabulous new collection, I was inspired.

I absolutely adore the new Cover Plate - Quatrefoil and decided to make my own ... using my Silhouette. Oh, boy! Quite the job, I tell ya! But anywhoo.... I am done.
And, I am so happy with the results!

So from this (found it using Google Image search  - keyword "quatrefoil"):

I made this:
And because I do square cards (most of the time), I decided to make it square-ish.
A little close-up:

Silhouette ROCKS!!!!
If interested in tutorial - I may post video-tutorial later .... let me know!
Have an awesome day!

Card no. 113 - You make my World that much brighter!

Oh, my! What a fantastic weekend! We had a fabulous turnout at the benefit and we raised a wonderful amount for our Foundation. An absolutely AMAZING group of people, artists, doctors, survivors, entertainers came and (I think) everyone had great time!
My sets of cards got a new home and I hope they will make someone's day when received.

Here goes my new card ...

I used the suuuuper cute Lili of the Valley image - Maisie Sitting Pretty and a butterfly from Hero Arts - Antique Engravings. I used 3D technique, that I adore so much - and learned it from Mariska at Sending you a Little Smile. Such a talented lady!

The Detail

Cardstock is from JoAnn, the DP is one of my all time favorite, My Mind's Eye - Stella and Rose. I sewed the edges, added rhinestones, lacy ribbon from Archiver's, Prima Flowers and pearly springs.
The Spellbinders I used were Labels Seventeen.
Pretty easy. I think what took me the longest was the image :) that I colored with my Copics, ProMarkers and ShinHan markers. I also added Stickles (StarDust & Diamond).

The Front View

I hope you're enjoying this fall. It has finally cooled off here in Phoenix.
I have been super busy - I've also got a new FABULOUS job (that I am super exited about) and still keeping my old one. Of course, I am home with my girls (whenever I can) and we craft like there is no tomorrow :) My hubby is working his tushie off at the hospital, but I know he's not-so-secretly loving it.

I have many more projects to come - I have so many ideas, just not enough time (or energy - by the end of the day) to make them happen.

Card no. 112 - Lili of the Valley Christmas Cards

As promised, I've been working   on the benefit cards and absolutely enjoying my time in my craft room.  I made four cards (two and two - two blue and two pink) last weekend and I just adore how simple and easy they were to make. It took me only 2 1/2 hours, where other time it takes me daaaays - but my hubby took the kids and kept them occupied, so I could craft these up ...

I used the super cute image from the Lili of the Valley's Christmas collection and some old paper from my stash.  The images were super easy to pick - I wanted to use LOTV one, because they are running a super awesome giveaway and THEY ARE ABSOLUTELY GOOOORGEOUS!

The Front View

I did a lot of sewing and a little gluing.  The blue ribbon is from Papertey Ink and the pink ribbon is from JoAnn.

The Detail #1

I colored the images with ProMarkers, Copics and ShinHans - I love how I can blend them all together. The border is by Spellbinders and so is the little shape under it.

The Detail #2

The rhinestones are by Me&My Big Ideas. I think you can tell I used A TON of Stickles (Stardust & Diamond) - just to add that little be-zaaaz

Card no. 111 - (Almost) Every Girl wants to be a Princess

Oh, my Gosh! Is it Saturday already? Well, I've been trying to keep busy this week and boy oh, boy! It was AWESOME!!!
I designed a daily schedule with meal planner (to save and reduce any and all waste) and chores (so it gets DONE) and it's so much easier for me to be focused .... organization! I love it!
I have got soooo much done - GOOD WEEK!

Times are tough, but we will get through it - with a help of family & friends (& crafting).

Anyways, my super sweet mother-in-law, Heather, who runs a very important Charity - Robert Urich Foundation for Cancer Research, has asked me to make few cards (to donate for an auction) for our upcoming Benefit - Californians for a Cure - hosted at the Music Box Hollywood on November 6.
I struggled what kinds of cards to make and as I always adored the simpler designs, I went with it.

This is first card of many (more to come - that I still need to make). I will be busy in the upcoming few weeks, and also will try to make few certificates for personalized stationery.
So keep up with me...

The Front View

I used the goooorgeous Whiff of Joy image from the newest collection, colored with Copics, ProMarkers and Stickles (StarDust). Papers are S.E.I. (Chick-A-Dee) and Making Memories (Butterfly Flower Patch). Ribbon is by Martha Stewart. Pearls from my stash and brad by Whiff of Joy. The lacy paper Heart doily is from  Little Yellow Bicycle.
I sewn the edges on my sewing machine and the inside looks (almost) the same as the outside.

The Detail

I used Mariska's 3D Technique to make the beautiful Princess to pop-out and give the card a little dimension. So, I guess not that simple after all ....

Card no. 110 - Sweet Tilda With a Tiny Present

Oh, wow ... that many days? I am sorry, I've been struggling a bit, but what a better way to reduce the stress than doing something you love.
Don't worry, I won't bore you with my personal issues ...

Here is the lovely Book Card I made (was inspired by Camilla's card and Just Magnolia's Sketch):

I used my Copics and ProMarkers to color the cute little Tilda. Cardstock is from JoAnn, DP is by Webster's Pages - absolutely gooooorgeous. Flowers are Prima, pearls are from stash. Everything is glued together with my glue gun. Lacy doily is English Tea Party doily by Cheery Lynn Designs and so is the butterfly.

The Detail

The Inside Border punch is by EK Success. I used my sewing machine, which BTW I've got from my lovely mother-in-law, Heather, many years ago.
I will probably add a cute little sentiment or a photo later - when I decide who will receive this little baby...

He had a BUBBLE in his throat!

Card no. 106 - Your friendship is so dear to me!

When I went to visit family in Los Angeles, I couldn't wait to meet one of my dearest friends - Rosalinda. She is one of THE sweetest people and I am so sad that I don't get to see her more often. I miss her dearly.
To make the distance between us shorter, I made this card for her. To tell her that I love her and that I treasure our friendship - even if we live in different cities.

I used cute Mo Manning image - Catching up, colored it with Copics and ProMarkers. The cardstock is Bazzill Basics and the DP is Graphic 45 (Le' Romantique), absolutely gooooorgeous. The pearls are from Inky Impressions. Perfect place to get a LOT of them. I used Prima Flowers and a little red buds from Hobby Lobby (that I've got last Christmas). The border punch is by Martha Stewart and the Lacy circles are by Spellbinders. The inside sentiments are by Technique Tuesday - Ali Edwards & Hampton Art - Million Little things. I also used Stickles and Pebbles Inc. Pearly chalk.

Card no. 104 - Welcome Sweet Baby

Good evening/or morning ...
I had this cute Mo Manning image colored for a few days, sitting on my desk, and today I've finally found a little bit of time to give her a good home (on a card).
My wonderful sister's been playing with the girls while I could sneak in few minutes behind my desk.

I, of course, colored her with my Copics, ProMarkers & ShinHan Markers. I sparkled her dress and wings with StarDust Stickles. Flowers are from Magnolia and Prima. Papers are by Pebbles (Ever After Collection - sooo super cute!). Ribbons are from JoAnn and so are the rhinestones. The tickets are by Inkadinkado and the inside sentiments by Recollections and Technique Tuesday.
