Whiff of Joy Blog Candy

Amazing Katharina Frei from WOJ is giving away 2, you heard me ... 2, Summer stamp kits ... check out the requirements .... but hurry, the offer ends this Friday - May 1st!

HOTLANTA!!!

So we are here and we have Internet! Hurrayyyy!!!! We picked gorgeous neighborhood with trees, sidewalks and one of the best public schools ... YAY!!!
I still need to put my craft room together, that's right ... no more garage space ... I have my own craft room/office. I am soooo excited. I somehow unpacked almost everything but my crafts, I need to get a new table, so that's the biggest problem, but other than that I can hardly wait!!!!

Aaaah, and we've just found out that we're having another baby!!! So I have to take it easy - as everybody says.... FINALLY ... we've been trying for over a year :) But I think the timing couldn't be more perfect. New place, new home, new baby ....

Embellish-Online Design Team Call

I read on Suzy's blog that Embellish-Online.com is forming a new design team!
We are an online retailer looking for innovative, creative and friendly card and scrapbook designers who are comfortable working with the products we sell such as patterned papers, embellishments and clear stamps that are detailed and may require coloring. If you work with Copic markers that is a plus! If you do not color that is okay too as we are looking for a variety of styles.
You do need to have an active, well maintained blog, be active on forums like SCS and/or 2Peas to share your work, be able to meet deadlines and participate in team challenges and on the store’s forum, and have a friendly, positive attitude. We require at least one EI exclusive post a week on your blog using our products, and to create for the EI gallery once a month (around 6 cards, layouts or projects a month in total).
In return, you will receive approx. $25 worth of product a month to design with, which usually includes patterned papers, embellishments, and sometimes stamps. You will also receive a 30% discount on almost everything in the store.
The design term will last six months.
To apply please send your name, address, link to your blog and SCS/2Peas galleries, and 5 examples of cards or projects that best reflect your style to suzy@papermonkey.org. Please keep each image under 100 kb in size or your application will not be received. Please also include a little bit about yourself, what other design teams you are on (DT experience is NOT necessary though), and why you would like to be an EI designer.
Applications are due April 30th. New designers will be announced by May 5th .
The design term will begin June 1st and end December 31st. Good luck to all who apply :)

Craft Idea no.1 - "Carrot" treat

I've got wonderful inspiration over at Bev's blog and made these cute treat carrots. My daughter Lana will have her Easer egg hunt tomorrow over at our gymnasium and her little friend Uli will meet us there, so I made them both these little "extra" treats.
I downloaded template here .... it's sooo cute! I can't wait to give it to them ... but I don't think it will last too long .... you know, 4-year olds :) but it was extremely fun to make them, so it will be worth every second of "work". I filled it up with jelly beans and crunchy nerds. Sugar high .... here we come!
Again, no Photoshop editing.... too tired today... I am off to bed ladies .... have marvelous weekend!

Card no. 9 - Hippity Hoppity ... Easter's on it's way

Sooooo .............. I really needed a break! The house searching is not going as planned. Agrh! Anyhow, I feel much better now because I squeezed in between packing, taking care of 4-year old and 30-year old and searching/researching the perfect house, neighborhood, etc. in Atlanta, some mommy time.
I used my favourite Easter Stamp and made this cute card.
I didn't do anything as far as the Photoshop editing goes - I guess I'll put my signature on the pictures later..... I am just too tired (lazy).

We're moving!

I haven't been able to do any cards :(
My husband got a call on Monday, that they scheduled him for his clinical rotations .... in ATLANTA! and that he has to start on APRIL 27TH!!! Soooo .... I've been going crazy to find a house, research schools, neighborhoods - we've never been to Atlanta and we had no idea that they will send us there - we thought Michigan or Chicago, so I have those down but we've never even imagined that we will end up in Atlanta. A lot of people promise me that I will love it .... I am so excited :) I loooove warm weather and the humidity will be good for my skin ;)
Anyhow, no cards ... I guess for a while, but I think I might (or will have to do some) because I will need a little de-stress before we move :)
Sooooo....... I guess I'll catch you later....
P.S. If anyone knows good places to raise 4-year old with nice schools in Atlanta area and fairly close to downtown (Atlanta Medical Center), please let me know .... Thanks a million!
