Card no. 72 - Birthday Wish

Well, this is my first Whiff of Joy card since the huge announcement ... hee heee ....

I colored the image yesterday (and few more), but put it together today - super quick and easy. I tried to add flowers and bows and other embelies, but nothing fit in right, so I just left it the way it is ... the papers being fairly bold make up for it ...

Card no. 70 - Make a Wish David!

This post is super quick - sorry - I have few mommies coming over for some much needed night out.

I made this card for my sister who wanted something special for her boyfriend David - she wanted something personalized, red and she also wanted to be the criss-cross card - I think I nailed her requests - don't you think? Not too girly - even my hubby said he'd like one like that ...maybe less flowers.... hmmmm.... now I am not sure.

Super quick & easy. I, once again, followed Jeanette's Video Tutorial. I cut out his name using my Sure Cuts a Lot and Cricut.

Also, I think I need to pay more attention to my coloring or get back to embossing the image - I keep getting out of lines ... practice, practice... practice ....

I am also entering this card into Whiff of Joy Challenge no. 87 - Layers

I've got a new glue adhesive - MyStick by Scrapbook Adhesives ... so I am excited to make my next card - let's see how good it holds .... perhaps tomorrow ...

Nighty night!

Card no. 68 - Second Wedding Card for Today

This is my second post for today - I had some spare time while the girls were hanging out with daddy, so what else - I went on craftin'

I used Magnolia Down Under's Challenge Sketch no. 63 and came up with this Wedding card, that I made custom to order. The sketch was fun to follow and exactly what I needed to help me out with this card. I fancied it up with some feathers, pearls and rhinestones ... talk about bling! Teee heee ....

Card no. 67 - Yet another Wedding card ...

After looking for THE perfect black ink, I've finally found it. Sweet Melodie from Art from the Heart recommended Memento Ink - and yes! That's it! Works like a charm - no embossing needed. Yipeeeee!!!!

Anyways, today's card is another custom request for a Wedding (and at least one more to make too - by Tuesday). I couldn't find any sketch this week that I'd like to go with, so I just did simple layout - nothing too fancy, but the card turned out pretty cute (I think).

Once again, simple & quick. Used a lot of Stickles and this time I even sprayed it with Glimmer Mist (Iridescent Gold) - so shimmery & yummy! I used my Cricut to cut out that gorgeous Monarch Butterfly and added extra pearls for that extra touch. Done and voilà ...

Card no. 66 - You're Sweet

Well, well ... finally found a little bit of time for some much-needed crafting. I finished this card yesterday, but haven't had a chance to post it yet. We went to a bonsai store on Saturday afternoon (where my hubby could walk for HOURS - but after 3 hrs I just got fed up and said let's go, besides kids were going totally crazy). Yesterday we went to the Zoo and it was THE perfect day for it. The weather was wonderful, not too hot, not too cold - humidity just right - absolutely fabulous!

Anyways, I made this card for my friend Amanda, who is absolutely wonderful photographer and she did family pictures for us this past Monday - haven't seen them yet, but I am sure they are fabulous.

I used few challenges to get my inspiration going:
Friday Sketchers - Sketch no. 118
Just Magnolia - Week 71 (Anything goes)
Simon Says Stamp - Pearls and Lace

I messed up on coloring Tilda's face - Gosh! I have to get that down! But the overall "shabbiness" hides that a bit - hopefully :)
